Description of 2 of Cups


The 2 of Cups is one of the most important cards in the Tarot deck. It depicts a young man and a young woman from different houses, finely attired, with wreaths wrapped around their heads as if they are celebrating a special occasion, perhaps a wedding. They both clasp golden chalices in their hands and the man is reaching over to the young lady.

Between them a demon-like figure can be seen hovering above them, emerging from a dark spiral. Could this be the beginning of something sinister?
