Description of Justice
The Justice card depicts a man seated between the Two Pillars of Justice, wielding a two-edged sword in his right hand, pointed to the sky; his left points to the floor; the Scales of Libra in his grasp. He is crowned and his crown has three pillars with a single jewel in the center, signifying the open Third-Eye, the Spiritual Eye; for without it, certainly, no truth can be had, nor justice be done.
He is draped in long red robes, corresponding to the planet Mars and justice. He wears a green cloak symbolic of the planet Venus, the ruling planet of Libra (the balances). If you glance down to his feet, the impression of the right foot protruding from his robes can be seen, as if he is seated with his feet crossed, right-over-left.
In the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the concept of justice is related to the Din, the counterpart of Hesed, the sefirot of mercy.
