Description of The Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune card depicts a blue sky beset by clouds at it's four corners. In each of the four corners is a golden figure. In the upper left a figure of a man with wings; in the upper right, an eagle; in the bottom left, a bull with wings; to the bottom right, a griffin. They are all roundabout a circle inscribed with a magical seal. Anti-clockwise around the seal are English letters forming the word T O R A and between each, the Hebrew letters of the Tetragrammaton, the fingerprint of God:

h w h y

To the left of the circle a golden snake coils off into the distance; to the right a demon or klepoth. A great blue Sphinx rests atop the magic circle grasping a double-edge sword.

The Wheel of Fortune is symbolic of the perpetual motion and rhythm of the fluidic universe, as well as the flux and reflux of human life. The Sphinx is the balance, or more accurately, the equilibrium contained by the motion.
